The Role of Islam in the Jewish-Christian Relationship

8 May 2025 15:00 to 17:00 Seminar

An Online Conversation with Professor Susannah Heschel

In this interactive lecture and discussion Susannah Heschel (Eli M. Black Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College) will reflect upon  Islam's role in the Jewish-Christian relationship.  60 years since the signing of Nostra Aetate in Rome, and in an era ripe for inter-religious understanding, what are we to make of the road going forward, indeed in 2025, but also beyond?

Extended questions (and answers) from the audience are highly encouraged and anticipated. In-person attendance is welcome.

This conversation is a joint collaboration between Jewish Studies & Global Christianity and Interreligious Relations at the Center for Theology and Religious Studies (CTR), and will be facilitated by Jordan Spencer Jacobs (visiting researcher in Jewish Studies).

For a zoom link and room information please email the event organiser. Questions are welcome.
