The course ”Editing and transcribing premodern texts: digital tools, methods and resources” gives an overview of - the most common tools used when transcribing and editing texts, primarily from manuscripts, - the different forms of digital presentation of texts, - the types of projects related to corpuses, databases and editions of premodern texts in which memory institutions (libraries and archives) interact with scholars and the general public. The course is given as a distance course in collaboration with professors at Università Ca´Foscari, Venice (Italy). Different types of digital tools and resources are explored, and the assignments are designed to introduce students to some of these tools.
To be eligible for bachelor's courses you must meet the entry requirements. Even if you hold a higher academic degree, you need to document your basic knowledge of English and also add your upper secondary school records at the same time you apply.
