Welcome to Lund University!
Information to all HT-faculties students
Here's what you need to do
Please observe that attending an introductory meeting is mandatory for you to complete enrolment. If you are unable to attend your introductory meeting, it is important that you notify a programme administrator or an academic advisor at the department in question. Please note that the admission offer may be invalidated if you fail to attend the introductory meeting for the course/programme you have been admitted to.
On the course website, you will find course/programme specific information about your introductory meeting. You will also find syllabus, schedules and literature. You can find the course homepage by selecting your subject from the list below.
As a student at Lund University, you will receive a student account consisting of a username and password. The student account gives you access to, among other things, e-mail, wireless networks, access cards, the learning platform Canvas and the libraries' online services. If you already have an active student account, you do not need to create a new one.
Once you have activated your student account, you can register for most courses in Ladok. You log in with your student account.
Please note that you can only register in Ladok during the registration period. It usually opens one week before the start of the course and closes the day after the course starts. For some programmes, you should instead register at the introductory meeting of the course. Ask the programme administrator if you are unsure of what applies.
Conditionally admitted
Have you been admitted conditionally admitted? Then you cannot register yourself in the Student Portal. Please contact the subject's study counsellor.
Canvas is our digital learning platform and gives you access to course material and information about lessons, assignments and examinations. Canvas also allows you to communicate with course participants and teachers.
You can use Canvas in your browser or download an app. You log in with your student account.
Students studying on campus at Lund University receive a personal access card, called the LU card. You need it to borrow books from all the university's libraries and to access premises outside opening hours. The card is free and can be obtained quickly. Please note, however, that the LU card is not a valid ID document for exams.
Admitted after the course has started?
Find your schedule and go to the next class. You cannot register to the course by yourself, so please ask your administrator to do this. Your student account is created when you are admitted, and an email is sent to you asking you to activate it. It may take a few days after your admission notification before your student account is created. As soon as you have activated your student account and registered for the course, you can see the information in Canvas.
Do you need to decline an offer of admission?
If you intend to decline an offer of admission, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the place to other applicants on the waiting list for the course/programme you have been admitted to. You can decline the offer on your pages on www.universityadmissions.se.
Do you have questions?
Contact your academic advisor if you have questions about your education.
