The Subscriptions to Mark’s Gospel and History of Reception
Under det This article surveys the subscriptions to the Gospel of Mark in 157 Greek manuscripts, noting their gradual development from being identical to the title in the earliest phase to becoming more and more elaborate and significant for the history of interpretation. Early on, as reflected in the title, the Second Gospel was associated with Mark, known to be Peter’s disciple and interpreter. In the fou
HEAD-MIP-(HEAlth Dialogues for patients with Mental Illness in Primary care)-a feasibility study
BACKGROUND: Patients with mental illness have an increased risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality compared to the rest of the population, which is partly related to unhealthy lifestyle habits. To individualise lifestyle counselling in primary care, the Swedish-developed Health Dialogue (HD) can be used as an educative tool at recurrent measurement points with the goal to improve non-health

Lung function, respiratory symptoms and incident venous thromboembolism during a 44-year follow-up
Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and infections are risk factors for venous thromboembolism (VTE), but the reasons behind the associations are not fully known. Few studies have investigated whether lung function and respiratory symptoms in individuals without COPD are associated with VTE. Objectives: To study the incidence of VTE in individuals without COPD and other major
Factors affecting performance of fetal blood T2 measurements for noninvasive estimation of oxygen saturation
PurposeTo ultimately make accurate and precise fetal noninvasive oxygen saturation (sO2) measurements by T2-prepared bSSFP more widely available by systematically assessing error sources in order to potentially reduce perinatal mortality in cardiovascular malformations and fetal growth restriction.MethodsT2-prepared bSSFP data were acquired in phantoms; in flowing blood in adults in the superior s

Within-bloom shift in abundance of a wild pollinator mediates pollen deposition rates to blueberry
Intra-seasonal variation in abiotic and biotic conditions can have profound consequences for pollinator community compositions and foraging movement, with flow-on effects upon pollination services. Yet, few studies have related such variations to pollination services in crop systems. In a cultivated highbush blueberry system with two primary pollinators — the managed European honey bee and a wild

Empowerment and enablement and their associations with change in health-related quality of life after a supported osteoarthritis self-management programme - a prospective observational study
BACKGROUND: Osteoarthritis is a leading cause of disability worldwide. Current treatment supports coping strategies to improve health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The need to predict response to treatment has been raised to personalise care. This study aims to examine change in HRQoL from baseline to three and nine months follow-up after participating in a Supported Osteoarthritis Self-Managem

What Is Infrastructural Meaning-Making and Why Do We Need It?
Social media, search engines, and recommendation systems provide a constant stream of data that shapes our knowledge, beliefs and decisions. We are constantly presented with content from a variety of sources, often without context. This content gets amalgamated into new constellations in the feeds, lists and streams we encounter (and sometime curate) on our devices. With the rise of consumer-facin
Songs about Women : Romanos the Melodist
A collection of ancient Byzantine hymns featuring women as pivotal characters, now in a new translation. At a time when Christianity was becoming the dominant religion in the Byzantine Roman Empire, Romanos the Melodist (ca. 485–565) was a composer of songs for festivals and rituals in late antique Constantinople. Most of his songs include dramatic dialogues or monologues woven with imagery from or

Human Tissues Exhibit Diverse Composition of Translation Machinery
While protein synthesis is vital for the majority of cell types of the human body, diversely differentiated cells require specific translation regulation. This suggests the specialization of translation machinery across tissues and organs. Using transcriptomic data from GTEx, FANTOM, and Gene Atlas, we systematically explored the abundance of transcripts encoding translation factors and aminoacyl-
Resolving entropy growth from iterative methods
We consider entropy conservative and dissipative discretizations of nonlinear conservation laws with implicit time discretizations and investigate the influence of iterative methods used to solve the arising nonlinear equations. We show that Newton’s method can turn an entropy dissipative scheme into an anti-dissipative one, even when the iteration error is smaller than the time integration error.

The electricity prices in Sweden and Europe during 2022 have reached very high levels. The main reason for this being the war in Ukraine, which has led to a decreased availability for gas. During summer, the electricity prices reached extreme levels when meteorological and hydrological factors worsened the situation on the electricity market. The highest daily electricity price on the Nordic marke
Multi-scale characterization of the spatio-temporal interplay between elemental composition, mineral deposition and remodelling in bone fracture healing
Bone mineralization involves a complex orchestration of physico-chemical responses from the organism. Despite extensive studies, the detailed mechanisms of mineralization remain to be elucidated. This study aims to characterize bone mineralization using an in-vivo long bone fracture healing model in the rat. The spatio-temporal distribution of relevant elements was correlated to the deposition and
