Nätverk - en förutsättning för pedagogisk utveckling?
The importance of networking is often emphasized in higher education teaching and learning. In this article we discuss significant networks and their impact on pedagogical development. We also share our experience of working in different kinds of networks. We focus on a Nordic project with the aim to develop digital learning objects in co-creation between librarians, students and teachers.

Analysis of relationships between the sound environment at the intensive care unit (ICU) and early signs of ICU delirium
High sound levels related to medical equipment and high activity day and night, is a wellknown phenomenon in intensive care units (ICUs). This may result in poor sleep and prolonged recovery for the patients but may also be a precipitating factor for intensive care delirium (ICU delirium). The aim of this pilot study was to describe patients' responses to the sound environment in an ICU and to iden
Meanings of living at home on a ventilator
Nine adults were interviewed in order to illuminate the meanings of being dependent on a ventilator and living at home. The data were analysed using a phenomenological-hermeneutic method inspired by the philosophy of Ricoeur. Five main themes emerged through the analysis: experiencing home as a safe and comfortable space from which to reach out, experiencing the body as being frail, brave and resi
No-touch saphenous vein grafts in coronary artery surgery (SWEDEGRAFT) : Rationale and design of a multicenter, prospective, registry-based randomized clinical trial
The SWEDEGRAFT study (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03501303) tests the hypothesis that saphenous vein grafts (SVGs) harvested with the “no-touch” technique improves patency of coronary artery bypass grafts compared with the conventional open skeletonized technique. This article describes the rationale and design of the randomized trial and baseline characteristics of the population enrolled d

Investigation of Reverse Filament Formation in ITO/HfO2-based RRAM
To overcome the large discrepancy in speed between computational devices and that of contemporary large capacity non-volatile memory (NVM) technologies, resistive random access memory (RRAM) technologies are seen as promising candidates, offering speed/energy improvements in several orders of magnitude while being 3D integration compatible [1]. Indium-Tin-Oxide (ITO) has several unique properties

Exposing the Exposures : Assessing occupational aerosol exposures and their possible health and toxicological effects
According to the Global Burden of Disease study, occupational exposures to particulates, gases and fumes were responsible for 0.36 million deaths and 8.8 million disability-adjusted life years globally in 2015. This thesis focuses on two occupational groups that are at risk for developing adverse health effects from the time they spend in their working environments: cleaning workers and workers in
Identification of the high risk hip fracture patients
Background: Hip fractures are common in older individuals entailing considerable risk of morbidity and mortality. Instruments are needed to enhance risk stratification of hip fracture patients. There is limited knowledge of the role of biomarkers as risk prognosticators for mortality in hip fracture patients.Aims: We assessed how well two well known risk stratification tools performed in a cohort

Ukraine's Civil Society and Zelensky: A Romantic Affair or Guest Marriage?
Before his unexpected victory in Ukraine’s presidential elections, the comedian and political novice Volodymyr Zelensky’s engagement with civil society was almost non-existent. The last two years of former president Petro Poroshenko were marked for civil society organizations (CSO) – in particular those working on human rights, anti-corruption, and media freedom – by numerous obstacles, including

The association between dietary intake, lifestyle and incident symptomatic peripheral arterial disease among individuals with diabetes mellitus : insights from the Malmö Diet and Cancer study
With the rising prevalence of both diabetes mellitus (DM) and peripheral arterial disease (PAD), the aim of this project was to examine the association between dietary intake and lifestyle on the risk of developing PAD among individuals with DM. The Malmö Diet and Cancer study was a prospective cohort study with baseline examinations carried out between 1991 and 1996 in Malmö, Sweden (n = 30,446).
