Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to identify motivational factors that managers within the banking sector can use in order to increase the motivation of their employees. Theoretical perspectives: Three different motivation theories have been chosen to contribute to the purpose of this study and to provide different angles of approach. These are Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Herzberg's
