Denna eventstudie avser att undersöka marknadsreaktioner från annonsering och arrangering av olympiska spel. Studien undersöker samtliga sommar- och vinterspel sedan 1994. Abnormala avkastningar runt annonseringsdatum och under de olympiska spelen är inte signifikant skilt från nollhypotesen, vilket innebär att eventstudien inte bekräftar den predikterade, ekonomiska nyttan som följer av eventen.
