The goal of this study is to analyze the changing nature of Swedish psychiatry, in particular St. Lars institutional psychiatric hospital. Through the theme of change, we use the academic theories of new-intuitional theory and emotional sociological theory. We conducted six semi-structured interviews consisting of the staff who worked at St. Lars Psychiatric Hospital in Lund between 1971 to 2011.
